《中西方民間敘事比較研究(英文)》主要是針對中西方民間敘事進(jìn)行比較研究。這是一項(xiàng)基于人文學(xué)的跨學(xué)科、跨文化的研究,它涵蓋了中西方語言、文學(xué)、歷史、心理學(xué)、哲學(xué)、宗教等學(xué)科。本研究主要圍繞中西文學(xué)中的六個民間敘事展開,研究的主要理論基礎(chǔ)是約瑟夫坎貝爾(Joseph Campbell)的《千面英雄》(The Hero with a Thousand Faces)(1968)與《神話的力量》(The Power of Myth)(2001),卡爾榮格(Carl Jung)的《原型和集體無意識》(The Archetypes and Collective Unconscious)(1980),弗拉基米爾普羅普(Vladimir Propp)的 《民間故事形態(tài)學(xué)》(Morphology of the Folktale)(1968)及羅伯特圣克萊爾(Robert St. Clair)的《文學(xué)結(jié)構(gòu)、人物發(fā)展與戲劇場景對小說類別的限定》(Literary Structures, Character Development,and Dramaturgical Scenarios in Framing the Category Novel)(2004)。研究以上述的神話理論、原型及集體無意識理論和情節(jié)結(jié)構(gòu)理論作為指導(dǎo),詳細(xì)對比分析了中西民間故事中的敘事主題、情節(jié)結(jié)構(gòu)和人物原型,以揭示中西故事之間的深層關(guān)系。此外,本研究的另一個目的是希望通過對中國民間敘事的分析,驗(yàn)證上述的西方理論框架和理論范式是否具有文化局限性,是否可以用于非西方 的文學(xué)作品研究。
