《醫(yī)學(xué)英語泛讀教程》主要為醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)學(xué)生的英語泛讀課程設(shè)計(jì)。
全書共分為8個(gè)單元,其主題分別為:重大疾病、醫(yī)學(xué)熱點(diǎn)、醫(yī)界名人、醫(yī)學(xué)與藝術(shù)、醫(yī)學(xué)與倫理、醫(yī)學(xué)與未來、醫(yī)學(xué)與影視以及醫(yī)學(xué)與宗教。
《醫(yī)學(xué)英語泛讀教程》涉及內(nèi)容廣泛,以醫(yī)學(xué)為中心,選擇的文章具有較強(qiáng)的專業(yè)性,但又不會是枯燥詞匯和專業(yè)知識的堆積,而多是生動有趣、貼近生活、與時(shí)俱進(jìn)的故事和觀點(diǎn)。在提高學(xué)生醫(yī)學(xué)和英語能力的同時(shí),還能促進(jìn)他們的分析推理等思維能力。
《醫(yī)學(xué)英語泛讀教程》每個(gè)單元有4篇文章,依次為泛讀A、泛讀B、快速閱讀C和課后閱讀D。泛讀A、泛讀B和快速閱讀C中的難點(diǎn)詞匯會有腳注,以幫助學(xué)生更加順暢地閱讀。每篇文章后附有相應(yīng)的習(xí)題,這些習(xí)題考查的主要是學(xué)生對文章內(nèi)容的理解而不是語法。其中泛讀A會比較側(cè)重詞匯的訓(xùn)練,而泛讀B則更注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對文章整體的理解,并附上與之相關(guān)的話題,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生在閱讀之外搜集更多相關(guān)資料,豐富自己的知識,并展開探討。
