這是一本關(guān)于算法設(shè)計和分析的教材。本書圍繞算法設(shè)計進(jìn)行組織,對每種算法技術(shù)選擇了多個典型范例進(jìn)行分析,把算法的理論跟實(shí)際存在的問題結(jié)合起來,具有很大的啟發(fā)性。本書側(cè)重算法設(shè)計思路,不再贅述算法復(fù)雜度的分析,每章都從實(shí)際問題出發(fā),經(jīng)過深入的具體分析引出相應(yīng)的算法的設(shè)計思想,并對算法的正確性和復(fù)雜性進(jìn)行合理的分析和論證。本書覆蓋面很寬,且含有200多道精彩的習(xí)題,還擴(kuò)展了PSPACE問題、參數(shù)復(fù)雜性等內(nèi)容。

Jon Kleinberg是美國國家科學(xué)院(NAS)、美國國家工程院(NAE)、美國人文與科學(xué)院(AAAS)三料院士。在計算機(jī)科學(xué)領(lǐng)域是“傳說級”的人物,而且還獲得過國際數(shù)學(xué)家大會頒發(fā)“奈望林納獎”,該獎是數(shù)學(xué)家大會為了表彰信息科學(xué)方面的重要數(shù)學(xué)貢獻(xiàn)而設(shè)的。
