The copper and copper alloy stranded wires mentioned in this standard only refers to some stranded wire products in field of electric wires and cables used for electrified railways.They have many specifications and stranding types.According to their different functions and positions installed on overhead contact line system (OCS)for electrified railways,these stranded wires are called in different ways,including catenary,auxiliary catenary,head span wire,upper cross span wire,lower cross span wire,mid anchor wire,stitch wire and dropper.This standard focuses on the requirements on technical parameters and technical performance.For the convenience of description and to be in accordance with the names of products in electric wire and cable industry,the term of \"stranded wires\" is adopted in this standard instead of the railway terms mentioned above.The flexible copper stranded wires used for electric connection in OCS are not included in this standard for being regarded as a general product.
This standard corresponds to DIN48201 Teil 1-1981 Single Wire for Transmzssion Stranded Wires-Copper Stranded Wires, DIN 48201 Teil 2-1981 Transmission Stranded Wires-Bronze
Stranded Wires. Compared with the above mentioned ones, this standard has major changes as followings :
—Descriptions applicable to foreign standards have been amended to the ones applicable to Chinese standards;
—Relevant contents and rules in GB/T 1179-1999 Round Wires, Concentric Stranded Aerial Wires have been taken as reference for text structure, terms and description of types, etc.;
—Standards including DIN 48200 Teil 1-1981 Single Wire for Transmission Stranded Wires-Copper Stranded Wires, DIN 48200 Teil 2-1981 Transmission Stranded Wires-Bronze
Stranded Wires,DIN 48203 Teil 1-1984 Single Copper Wire for Transmission and Stranded Wires-Technical Speci ftcations for Supply, DIN 48203 Teil 2-1984 Single Copper ALloy Wire and Stranded Wires for Transmission-Technicat Speci fications for Supply and DIN 43138-1980 Flexible Stranded Wires for Overhead Contact Line and Current Return Wire have been taken as reference and the contents related to copper wire and copper alloy single wire and stranded wires have been included in this standard;
——The vibration test and fatigue test of copper and copper alloy stranded wires have been added;
——The inspection rules for copper and copper alloy stranded wires have been established.
