馮士筰院士是我國著名的物理海洋學家和環(huán)境海洋學家,本書沿其從事海洋科教事業(yè)55年以來的學術(shù)發(fā)展脈絡(luò),選取截至2017年能體現(xiàn)其各個時期學術(shù)貢獻的35篇文章結(jié)集而成。其中既包括他關(guān)于潮汐和海洋環(huán)流基本認識的早期文章,也包括關(guān)于風暴潮動力——數(shù)值預報和產(chǎn)品研發(fā)工作的部分成果,以及有關(guān)拉格朗日余環(huán)流和物質(zhì)長期輸運過程的論文。
