課文內容集各財務原著英語表達之所長，力求語言簡練、地道。課文后附注釋，力求大限度地方便讀者學習。每章所列單詞、詞組和會計知識鏈接囊括了該章商務語境下主要詞匯的用法。《大學英語選修課·學科課程系列教材·普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材：財會英語》首開會計英語聽說之先河，每章都設計了旨在訓練準確接收會計信息的聽力系列練習、常用財會英語口語練習，有些章節(jié)還設計了將英語與會計知識相結合的小組討論題，以擴大語用空間，希冀填補目前教材在這方面的空白。此外，每章均設英漢互譯練習。配合教材，設置了網上自主學習園地，包含聽力原文、課文閱讀練習、詞匯練習、案例分析和補充閱讀材料。目的在于提高學習效率與效果，全方位培養(yǎng)國際化會計人才。
